GLOSSARY TERM
What is PageSpeed Insights (PSI)?
Definition
Google's free web tool that combines Lighthouse lab measurements with real-user field data from the Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX) to evaluate page performance.
Why it Matters for AI Search
PSI is the canonical source for Core Web Vitals scores. The "Origin Summary" tab shows your sitewide field data — the same data Google uses as a ranking signal. Aim for "Good" thresholds across LCP, INP, and CLS.
